Epic Road Trip: LA

Welcome to LA! Home of the rich, famous, and beautiful, as well as horrendous traffic. What is the first thing you think of when someone says LA? Most think Hollywood, though if you have kids it’s, likely Disneyland comes to mind. But there is so much more to LA than this.

Just so you know the city of LA does allow vaping at the beaches and parks but, like smoking, it is prohibited within 10 feet of outdoor dining areas and 40 feet of food kiosks, food carts and mobile food trucks. Also, like the drinking age you have to be 21 to buy vaping products, so if you’re under 21, make sure you bring everything you might need with you.

Venice Beach

This is our favourite spot in LA, and it has a flavour the rest of the city doesn’t. Known for its bohemian trappings, it is home to skateboarders, street preachers, body builders and eccentric characters. Besides a beautiful beach and fabulous people watching, it has a great collection of street art. Enjoy a vape of Quenchers flavour Cheeky Cherry as you take a look at the bright and colourful murals in all different styles spread along the boardwalk.

Hollywood Walk of Fame

It’s a bit cliché, but checking out the Walk of Fame is worth the time. With almost 2,500 of Hollywood’s greatest stars of the past and present preserved by handprint or footprint, there are a lot of familiar names. Get a flavour explosion of Fruity Blast while pointing out your favourite stars and don’t forget to stop to admire the stunning Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

Paradise Cove Beach

Considered one of the top beaches in the area this tiny beach is snug up beneath the Malibu Cliffs. Access to the beach is free but many choose to rent private terraces and beach beds for an extra relaxing experience. Imagine laying out on a private terrace on a sunny day, tasting the flavours of orange, tangerine, lemon and lime in our new flave, Sweet Citrus. But remember, don’t leave your e-juice out in the sun as this causes a decrease in the nicotine levels.

Downtown

Not known for its downtown core, there is still lots to see in downtown LA. It’s home to much of the city’s fabulous Art Deco buildings and historic theaters. Take stroll on your own with a guide book, or sign up for one of the very popular walking tours.

Griffith Observatory

Well known for its feature in movies, great view and extensive collection of space knowledge there are many reasons to visit Griffith Observatory. The most popular is the view. Looking out over all of LA, watch the sun set while inhaling the delightful combination of blueberries, raspberries and white grape in Blue Grazberry. When you’re done for the day, don’t forget to rinse out your e-tank, mouthpiece and atomizer. This should be done once a week or even when switching flavours, to help get the best out of your e-juice.

The Grove

This is the best place to shop in the city. Originally started with a farmer’s market in 1934, it now boasts about 50 top-brand stores and a large range of food stalls. Either pick up some grapes at the farmer’s market of just get the flavour with the sweet yet tangy Get’Em Grape from the Quenchers collection.

Mulholland Drive

LA is a car city, and is not considered a great place for public transit. If you’re looking for a memorable place for a joyride, this famous stretch of road is the place to do it. Captured in film as make-out moments, car chases and beautiful scenery, you’re likely to recognize parts of the drive. Take the time to stop at the many look out points and enjoy the view.

LA is an exciting city so where do we head next that can compare? Check back to find out where our epic road trip will take us next and what flavours we’ll explore.
