CVE Edmonton 2018 Recap

2018 Canada’s Vape Expo (CVE), Edmonton

Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Edmonton, Canada.

Canada's largest vape expo, CVE, was hosted at the Edmonton Expo Centre at Northlands with over a 50,000 square foot venue of pure vape! After an incredible show in Edmonton in 2017, this year’s event was massive. Originally established in 2015 with founding partners Dashvapes.com and Vapemeet.ca, the show has become an instant stamp in the vaping communities across Canada and this year without a doubt was one to remember.

The event started April 27th with a business-to-business day finishing off with two consumer days on the 28th and 29th. There were over 150 different brands representing their flavors and advocates from around the world supporting the vape community. Vapemeet and Dashvapes worked hard to create an amazing formula for exhibitors to showcase their latest and greatest products, while at the same time having some newer companies being introduced at the highest stage. A ton of social media and online influencers made an appearance, documenting the event from their perspective. Each day was different, filled with excitement having giveaways and competitions along with local stores and distributions taking in the flavors that were displayed. By the end of the event there was a healthy balance of businesses, store owners, and consumers leaving with a feeling of accomplishment.

Although the event was created for consumers to splurge on a budget, CVE has always ranked priority to focus on advocacy for the cause and awareness of what’s going on in the industry currently. Canada has seen a patchwork regulations implemented across the country over the last year, including a near-total shutdown of the industry in Quebec. With the Federal government aiming to put forward regulations the event couldn’t have come at a more appropriate time. CVE brought in a list of guest speakers to address the youth and vaping along with updates in the community. It provided a unique experience having the hype of all the brands sharing their products and the seriousness of guest speakers bringing awareness to what is going on in the rapidly changing vape community.

We came into the event to show off some of our newest flavors like Cactus Jango, Blue Grazberry and Frozen Ophelia along with showing support to our locals who are advocates of the vaping industry. There were a lot of giveaways and fun prizes handed out and plenty of juice going around. It was an absolute blast and we look forward to coming here next year.

Outside of the event we had the opportunity to adventure around and try the local food. Edmonton is an area with lots of sightseeing and plenty of food to go around for the foodies. If you haven’t had the opportunity to come to an event, especially in Canada, CVE is a great experience with all of the biggest brands and influencers to soak in.
